They traded flesh for steel
and forgot the tremble of living things.

What's left is a machine world that cannot feel — and will not stop. From the ashes, one spark remains. The machines keep coming and they never get tired, so you get close, and you keep killing.

Skim enemy fire at point-blank range to charge your hyper, then spend everything you've grazed on a screen-shredding burst, mid-combo, to keep the chain alive.

Console-grade spectacle. Arcade-pure soul.

The loop

Graze to charge, spend to destroy

Skim enemy fire to charge your hyper — then unleash it mid-combo as a homing missile storm and keep the chain alive. Every burst you earn buys a few seconds of annihilation. Then straight back into the fire, one rank higher.

Risk is the resource.

In-engine capture: the player ship holds focus inside a spread of enemy bullets.

Focus mode

The storm has depth

Enemy fire isn't painted on a flat plane — it fills the space around you, above and below. Slip into focus and you slow to a crawl, arm a heavy laser, and start reading that depth well enough to thread it.

Not a flat plane.

In-engine capture: the cinematic third-person camera frames the ship low over the forest arena.

The camera

A bullet hell you watch like a film

This isn't top-down. A dramatic third-person camera pulls you into the storm with real depth, weight, and dramatic light — built in Unreal Engine 5 with Lumen and Nanite.

Real depth. Real weight. Real light.

In-engine capture: a combo of destroyed enemies erupts as the score multiplier climbs.

Proof of mastery

Chase the score forever

Deterministic, verifiable replays — every score has a watchable run behind it. Tuned for 60+ FPS on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Every run counts. Every run can be watched back.

The rank system

The better you play,
the harder it fights,
the higher the reward

Rank is a single number tracking how well you're playing right now — and it feeds straight back into the game. Climb it and every point is worth more, but every bullet on screen gets faster. There is no difficulty slider. There's just how good you are, minute to minute.

In-engine — rank climbing C → B → A mid-stage

Tier Score Bullet speed
D1.0×0.8×
C1.2×0.9×
B1.5×1.0×
A2.0×1.15×
S2.5×1.3×
SS3.0×1.5×

Rank is continuous, not stepped — the multipliers slide smoothly between tiers.

What lifts it

  • Kills — the steady climb
  • Grazes — small, constant, and they add up fast when you're playing close
  • Clearing a wave — a solid jump
  • Clearing it untouched — a much bigger one
  • Combo milestones — every tenth kill in a chain

What drags it down

  • Taking a hit — immediate, noticeable
  • Dying — the big one; S-rank players drop straight back to A
  • Letting a combo lapse — a small bite
  • Cooling off — stop scoring for a few seconds and rank bleeds away on its own, every second, until you re-engage

That last one matters most: rank has a cooldown. Hide at the edge of the arena and the game doesn't just fail to reward you — it actively winds you back down. Playing safe is a slow loss. The only way to hold a high rank is to keep killing and keep grazing while the bullets get faster around you.

One exception, deliberately: the slow area-denial patterns never speed up. Those are spatial puzzles and they stay solvable at every rank. It's the aimed fire — the shots meant to punish your reactions — that sharpens as you climb.

Your reward is the difficulty.

From the developer

I love this genre. I used to watch people play these games in arcades and I was always in awe of how good they were. Bloodline is my attempt at that feeling — the bullet hell I always wanted to make, built by hand in Unreal Engine 5, in my spare time. Follow the journey — and if you chase the score, wishlist it.

If you live for the one perfect run — the chain that never breaks, the graze that shouldn't have worked, the score that finally falls — Bloodline is built for you.

From the Bloodline anthem — “Ashes of the Bloodline”

Rise up, lone warrior, reclaim the fight! You’re the bloodline, the last beating heart.

Rise up, lone warrior, reclaim the fight!

Break through the circuits, ignite the night!

You’re the bloodline, the last beating heart,

Push back the shadows, tear it all apart!

Save the world from the void we’ve made,

With every step, let the old ways fade.

You’re the hope in the desolate storm,

One soul to heal what was torn!

Ashes of the Bloodline — from the Bloodline album

Be there at launch.
